Customer Information
The products offered on this website are available until end July 2004, unless stocks are exhausted before that date.
Payment Details
The prices of the goods are as stated in
the brochure on the website and are inclusive of any applicable value added tax. We accept
Mastercard, Switch, Delta, and Visa. We cannot accept payment in cash or by cheque through
the post for orders made through this website. Card payment shall be taken when the order
has been processed and sent for shipping.
Security
Each order is processed securely, using
secure servers with 128-bit SSL encryption technology. This ensures that your transaction
details are kept secure and confidential.
Further we acknowledge our duties and
obligations under the Data Protection Act 1998. In placing an order you agree that we may
use any personal information obtained about you as a result of the contract or the
performance of the contract, for marketing purposes and to inform you of new products,
goods and services provided from time to time. Any such information shall not be passed to
third parties without your consent except in circumstances of insolvency, as a result of a
change of control of Traidcraft plc or for the purposes of legal proceedings.
Delivery Costs/Times
We offer two forms of delivery:
Standard Service delivery is charged at £4.50 per order to any UK mainland address. This charges covers packing, handling and delivery. Orders are usually responded to within 24 hours, and are normally dispatched within 4 working days. Please allow up to 14 days for delivery. Please note all orders will incur a delivery charge excluding wine which includes the cost of post and packing in the price of each case.
Express Service - for an additional £5.50, we guarantee to deliver to any UK mainland address within 2 working days from confirmation of receipt of orders. Sorry we can't send wine by express delivery. A signature will be required.
We will provide written confirmation of
the order (which shall, where the order is placed by e-mail or on-line form, be deemed to
include confirmation by e-mail) at the latest on the delivery of the goods.
Alternative Delivery Address - If you
would like your goods delivered to a different address to your home address, then please
fill in the details in the appropriate area on the order form. Please note that we can
only accept one address per order. You will still need to supply us with your own name and
address.
Please note items may be dispatched in
more than one package, and will not necessarily arrive at the same time. If there is no
one to receive the package then the carrier will leave a card informing you as to where
your order is being held. If you have not received your goods within this time, please
contact our customer services department on 0191 4910591 or sales@traidcraft.co.uk.
Ordering from Outside the UK
We regret that at the moment we are unable
to accept orders for dispatch to any addresses outside the UK mainland and Northern
Ireland. However, we can accept orders from overseas for delivery to UK mainland and
Northern Ireland addresses, and please make the payment in £ Sterling. To manipulate the
order form to accept your address, please include your country in the main address area
and leave the country defaulted as UK. The order should then be accepted.
Basis of Sale
The order on the relevant order form
constitutes an offer by you to purchase the goods on your order form subject to these
terms and conditions. The contract is formed when the goods are dispatched by us, having
received payment in full from you. Acceptance of these terms and conditions by you is
signified by placing an order.
Descriptions
Items are described and photographed as
accurately as possible, but please note that sizes, colours and designs may vary. Please
see your rights to cancel orders below.
Your right to cancel orders
We want you to be completely satisfied
with your purchases, and what's more so do the crafts people who have made them. However,
most of the products have come from remote parts of the world often making communication
with the producers very difficult. Whilst every effort is made to ensure that the products
are the same as our original samples, sometimes differences do occur. If you are not
completely satisfied with any item you ordered, just return it (with your customer advice
note) within 7 days of the date of receipt and we will refund your money. No questions
asked! This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights.
Please note that you have a legal right to
terminate your contract within 7 days of the date of receipt of the goods (provided the
goods are returned to us new and in an unused condition in the original packaging together
with a copy of the receipt. If not so returned the goods shall be deemed accepted by you
and you shall not be entitled to reject the goods. By returning, packing securely and
enclosing the advice note and sending it back to Traidcraft plc, Kingsway, Gateshead, Tyne
& Wear, NE11 0NE a refund will be provided within 30 days of the date of cancellation.

Customer Restrictions
Orders are not accepted from people under
the age of 18 and by placing an order you represent that you are over 18. However, we
welcome guardians buying products on behalf under 18s.
